Iran, Arg-e-Bam, the largest mud building in the world is listed by UNESCO as a part of the World Heritage Site. It was built about 2,000 years ago. It is the most attractive place in Iran.
Thi shows what people can do with limited resources--build with mud. What a great idea. What was the original purpose of this building? Was it a fort or a castle?
In Canada we only have one UNESCO site and that is Old Quebec City. It is quite beautiful as well. Only an 8 hour drive away.
